Norm the Accountant and his Global Positioning System

Norm is an accountant

Norm has always liked electronic gadgets,

Norm is always looking for ways to make his professional practice more effective, efficient, productive and profitable and that goes for his personal and recreational life too.

Now, just recently Norm got intrigued by the challenge of running 100 miles on the Western States trail, but after talking to some friends he got really worried about getting lost in the dark on the trail.

So, Norm got a hand held GPS so that he could map all the waypoints and always know where he was and rest a little easier about getting lost.

A while back Norm was training locally and carrying his GPS so he could get used to it in practice.

While he was running he noticed a light plane which was obviously in trouble and then crash landed in a nearby field.

Norm ran over to see if he could be of help. The pilot crawled out of the wreckage unhurt but dazed and asked in a bewildered voice: "Where am I ?"

Norm checked his GPS and replied "Why you're at 49 deg 13 minutes 16 seconds North Latitude and 122 deg 43 minutes 25 secs West Longitude

The pilot shook his head and said "You *must* be an accountant"

Norm replied, "Why yes, I am an accountant. How did you know?"

The pilot says "Because the information that you have just given me is totally accurate ... and totally useless.
